PM Asks Minister of Agriculture to Explain Goat Meat Case

Phnom Penh: Prime Minister Hun Sen has ordered the Minister of Agriculture to explain why a Ministry of Agriculture official seized some people's goat meat, saying it was unacceptable.

The Prime Minister took to Facebook page on Saturday morning, posting: “We encourage people to raise animals, not for display but for food. Why do people have no right to kill animals for meat? If this is in the law, the law must be amended.”

He also expressed his outrage and pity for the people affected by the move.
